Quick guide to making your unique candle…

Replaceable wicks keep your candle looking like new at all times and prevent candle tunnels from forming. A brand new candle in seconds, Kerssand is the fastest and most hassle-free DIY candle. Any-time, any-place, any-container!

500ml fills a 10cm cylinder container 9cm high. One wick = ~15+hours / Half wick = ~8-10+hours

6hours burn ~50ml / 10hours burn ~100ml. *approximate cost of combustion ~R3.90/hour

As easy as
one, two, three!

- FIND A SUITABLE CONTAINER WITH A DIAMETER OF AT LEAST ~8CM.

- POUR THE kersSAND INTO THE CONTAINER AND PLACE THE wick SO THAT ~5MM OF THE wick REMAINS EXPOSED AND LEAVE ~4CM OF FREE SPACE ON EACH SIDE OF THE wick, INCLUDING ABOUT ~1CM AT THE BOTTOM.

- LIGHT AND ENJOY! TOP UP AS NEEDED!

Rekindle

When you light the Kerssand candle again, first make sure that the Kerssand has enough wick. If there is enough wick, light the candle like a normal candle. If you run out of wick, and the flame extinguishes itself - you can throw away the solidified pod, and refill your container with fresh Kerssand and a new wick. Make sure ~5mm of the wick is exposed and leave ~4cm of free space on each side of the wick, including about ~1cm at the bottom. This way, the container of your choice will stay clean and not come into contact with melted candle wax. If you have chosen a shallower container, you can cut the wick in half. You can also add different elements that you like (flowers, stones, etc.) Kerssand can also be used as a floating candle (as long as your wick has at least 1cm of free space at the bottom), the floating candle’s burntime is 2-3hours at a time. The sand can then again be dried out and re-used as soon as it is completely dry. Also feel free to drip any essential oils according to your need in your kerssand around the wick for a nice lasting scent.

If you want to burn more than one fuse and one container
Make sure that the fuses are ~8cm apart and the fuses are at least ~4cm away from the decor elements. Since the burning diameter of one wick is ~8cm! If the wicks are burned too close to each other (closer than ~8cm) the heat of the flame will increase and also make the wax melt faster. In this case, the fuses can sink into the melted wax and extinguish.
